An atmospheric bar and wine cellar in a building from 1774
Byskriverbar is an atmospheric bar and wine cellar inside Allinge Badehotel. A half-timbered building from 1774 that has stood on Bornholm's north coast for 250 years.
We pour a carefully curated selection of wines from Alsace, Burgundy, the Rhône, and Baden, alongside local Bornholm gin and tonic, organic juices from Bornholmsk Mosteri, and craft beers from Svaneke and Small Batch breweries.
The bar is open to both hotel guests and walk-in visitors. Ideal for a pre-dinner aperitif, a glass of wine on the terrace, or a late evening drink. Open seasonally from May through September.
The Wine Cellar
Beneath the vaulted brick walls of the old cellar we keep a curated collection of wines. Crémant from Alsace. Whites and reds from Burgundy. Soft Côtes du Rhône. Spätburgunder and Weissburgunder from Baden, where the vineyards lie close to the water. Sun-warmed slopes, not unlike Bornholm.

The Byskriver Board
The best of Bornholm on a single board: 12-month-aged ham from Hallegaard, air-dried chorizo from Bornholmer Slagteren, Havgus cheese with sea buckthorn, local blue farmhouse cheese, beer sticks, spicy mackerel pâté, and house-baked bread with cultured butter.
Made to share, between two. A taste of the island, gathered in one frame. DKK 400.
Local pours
Bornholm gin with a proper tonic. Sodas from the island: raspberry brus, lemon brus, Danish cola. Juices from Bornholmsk Mosteri: rhubarb, elderflower, lemon-ginger. Pilsners, pale ales and citra IPAs from Small Batch and Svaneke Bryghus.
Smoked almonds, marinated olives, and unripe peaches on the side.
Open to all
Byskriverbar is open to both overnight guests and walk-in visitors. That matters to us. A local meeting place as much as a hotel amenity.
We're open from May to September. If you're walking through Allinge on a summer afternoon, drop in.
Come by
Løsebækgade 3, 3770 Allinge. Reservations aren't required, but for larger groups it's good to know in advance.
