We rent out the entire hotel exclusively for your event. 24 rooms, the garden, the courtyard, the dining room — it is all yours. No other guests. Just you and the people who matter most.
The Setting
The building dates to 1774 and is one of the oldest in Allinge. Original timber framing, low ceilings, and a courtyard with old cobblestones. A building that has witnessed 250 years of celebrations.
The garden faces east with views over the Baltic Sea. There is room for ceremonies, outdoor dinners, or simply a quiet moment with a glass in hand. The courtyard is intimate and enclosed — perfect for welcome drinks or an evening party under string lights.
Everyone sleeps under one roof
With 24 rooms, the hotel accommodates up to 53 guests. Rooms range from cozy singles to the Countess Danner Suite with sea views and a sitting room. All have been renovated with Danish designer furnishings, while the building's original character is preserved.
The best part of staying together: no taxis, no logistics, no one leaving early. Just a long evening that naturally flows into a shared breakfast the next morning.
Food & Drink
We create the menu in collaboration with you. Breakfast is always included — organic and local with freshly baked bread, Bornholm cheeses, and smoked specialties.
For the celebration, we can arrange everything from a casual buffet with local produce to a multi-course dinner. Byskriver Baren can serve welcome drinks, and we are happy to help find the perfect wine list. We accommodate all dietary requirements.
Weddings
The garden with its sea views is a natural setting for a ceremony. We also work with a local event space that can accommodate up to 150 guests with all necessary facilities. In case of rain, the dining room can be arranged for the ceremony.
We are not a traditional wedding venue — we do not have a wedding coordinator or a wedding package. What we have is a beautiful setting, good food, and a willingness to help you create exactly the celebration you dream of. We work with local florists, musicians, and photographers and are happy to help coordinate.
Milestone Birthdays & Family Celebrations
A 50th birthday, a 70th birthday, a family reunion. Some occasions call for more than a dinner — they call for a full weekend stay where the family can be together without distractions.
Bornholm adds an extra dimension to the celebration. During the day, guests can explore the island — Hammershus, the round churches, the beach. In the evening, everyone gathers for dinner. It becomes more than a party. It becomes an experience.
When
We rent out the entire hotel for events primarily in the off-season from October to March, when you have the place entirely to yourselves. During our regular season (May to September), exclusive bookings are possible but depend on availability.
Bornholm in the off-season is something quite special. Quieter, more dramatic, more intimate. Many of our guests tell us it was the perfect choice for their celebration.
Practical
Bornholm has its own airport with direct flights from Copenhagen (35 minutes). Alternatively, you can take the ferry from Ystad (80 minutes). We are happy to help coordinate transport for your entire party.

Can we rent the entire hotel?
Yes. We rent out the entire hotel exclusively for events. In the off-season (October to March), this is always possible. In the high season (May to September), it depends on availability.
How many guests can you accommodate?
The hotel has 24 rooms with space for up to 53 overnight guests. For the event itself, we can host guests in the garden, in the dining room, or at our local event partner's venue, which accommodates up to 150 guests with all necessary facilities.
Can we hold the ceremony at the hotel?
Yes. The garden with its sea views is a beautiful setting for a ceremony. We also work with a local event space that can accommodate up to 150 guests. We help with chair setup and decoration. In bad weather, the ceremony can be held indoors.
Do you handle the food?
Yes. We create the menu in collaboration with you. Everything from casual buffets to multi-course dinners with Bornholm ingredients. We accommodate all dietary requirements and allergies.
Can we have live music?
Yes. We have space for a band or DJ in the courtyard or garden. We can also help find local musicians. Please note that we are in a residential area, so we agree on guidelines for sound levels.
Can we decorate?
Absolutely. The hotel is beautifully decorated as it is, but you are welcome to add your own flowers, candles, and details. We work with local florists and are happy to help with coordination.
How do our guests get to Bornholm?
Flights from Copenhagen to Rønne take 35 minutes (DAT, multiple daily departures). Alternatively, you can take the ferry from Ystad in Sweden (80 minutes). We are happy to help coordinate group transport.
