At Allinge Badehotel, breakfast is never an afterthought. It is the quiet centre of every stay at the hotel — a moment where the kitchen, the island, and the season come together on a single table.

Every morning, our breakfast buffet is laid out in the sunlit dining room overlooking the Baltic. Sheepskins drape the chairs. Dried flowers sit in ceramic vases. The light falls through the skylights and across the dark wood tables. This is where the day begins.

From the Island, For the Morning

Our philosophy is simple: the best ingredients are the ones closest to us. Bornholm is an island rich in artisan producers — dairy farmers, bakers, smokehouses, orchards — and our breakfast reflects that abundance.

Expect freshly baked bread and pastries each morning, including buttery croissants dusted with powdered sugar alongside soft-boiled eggs from free-range hens. Danish cheeses from local farms. Seasonal fruit from the island’s orchards. Organic honey and homemade preserves.

The Art of Slow Morning Food

We believe breakfast should be unhurried. Each element on the buffet is prepared with the same attention we would give a dinner course.

Our chia pudding is made overnight with organic oat milk, topped with fresh berries, toasted coconut, and a drizzle of passion fruit. It sits in small glass jars — beautiful to look at, nourishing to eat.

The scrambled eggs are cooked slowly, finished with fresh chives and a pinch of chilli flakes, and served alongside a bright carrot-apple salad and hearty seed bread. Every plate tells a small story of care.

Homemade Yogurt & Seasonal Toppings

One of our guests’ favourites is the homemade yogurt, served in individual Weck jars. Each morning brings a different topping — toasted almonds, lime zest, passionfruit coulis, fresh blueberries. It changes with the season and the mood of the kitchen.

From Our Garden to Your Plate

Behind the hotel, our garden is more than decoration. In late summer, our fig tree produces an extraordinary harvest. We pick the figs in the morning, bake them with berries and fresh herbs, and serve them still warm at the breakfast table.

A View to Start the Day

Through the windows of our breakfast room, the sea stretches out toward Sweden. Morning light floods the space. It is, perhaps, the most beautiful room on Bornholm to have your first cup of coffee.

More Than a Meal

Breakfast at Allinge Badehotel is included in every stay. It is served each morning from 8:00 to 10:00 in our dining room, or — on warm days — in the garden with a view of the Baltic. Browse our rooms to plan your visit.
